We identified that small businesses in Slovakia and Central Europe lacked an invoicing tool that understood local tax requirements, could extract data from documents automatically with AI, and provided fast responsive support — without the complexity of enterprise accounting software. We set out to build that product ourselves.

Solution

We built FakturAi as a full-stack SaaS application: React 19 frontend, NestJS backend with PostgreSQL. AI-powered document parsing intelligently extracts invoice data from uploaded files, dramatically reducing manual entry. The system generates PDF invoices, includes Pay by Square QR codes for instant bank transfers, supports PWA with offline capabilities, and implements OAuth + 2FA authentication. A fast support system ensures users get help within minutes.

Results

The platform attracted a growing base of active users across Central Europe. AI parsing meaningfully reduced manual invoice entry time. Users consistently highlight the fast support response times and the intuitive AI-assisted workflow as key differentiators.
